Nestled on the northern and eastern shores of Lake Lewisville is the Town of Little Elm known as the “Town with the Lake Attitude”.  Little Elm has more miles of shoreline (66 miles) than any other Dallas-Ft. Worth city.

In the census of 2000, there were 3,646 people in Little Elm.  As of May 1, 2016 that number has grown to 34,355 making Little Elm one of the fastest growing municipalities in Texas since 2000.  In 2016 Little Elm was ranked the 13th safest city in Texas by the FBI.

Little Elm is a great place to live and play.  The lakeside amenities include a cable wake board park, a boat ramp, a large swim beach, a marina, an amphitheater on the water and many miles of trails.  Because of the rapid growth in the area, most of the town is new.  Included in the new construction projects are new parks, businesses, restaurants and a diverse mix of housing which includes single family homes, multi-family homes, townhomes and duplexes.

There are three school districts that serve the Little Elm area.   The Highway 380 corridor is served by the Denton Independent School District.   Braswell High School will be opening August 2016 and will be the fourth comprehensive high school in the fast growing Denton ISD.   When completed, Braswell will have 532,000 sq. ft. of space.  To the east of Little Elm and along the FM423 corridor the Frisco Independent School District services the area.  The Frisco ISD is a highly sought after district in the area.  The majority of the town is served by the Little Elm Independent School District which is one of the fastest growing districts in Denton county.  The school district built its athletic stadium in 2006 which is one of the largest in the area with a seating capacity of 7500 (4500 for home and 3000 for visitors), has great wheelchair accessibility, has a 15 foot by 12 foot electronic video board and has a three level state of the art press box.  Find your school.
